Recycling collection update

Flintshire County Council would like to thank residents for their patience and provide an update on recycling collections across the county.

Following last week’s heatwave, some collections were suspended to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our crews working in challenging conditions.

As a result, some households are now presenting significantly higher volumes of recycling, which has increased collection times and caused some vehicles to reach capacity sooner than expected.

While additional resources have been deployed wherever possible, some recycling rounds have been unable to be completed within the normal working day and may require return visits to collect remaining properties.

Our crews are working hard to clear outstanding collections and restore services to normal as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents for their understanding.
