Wynne Construction are the principal contractors for the new two-storey primary school to serve the Kings Moat Garden Village housing development on Wrexham Road in Chester.
The project design includes sheltered outdoor play spaces, PV panels, a multi-use games area (MUGA), outdoor learning, seating, habitat and play areas together with staff parking and cycle storage.
There will be a Meet the Buyer event on Thursday 28 November at the Holiday Inn Chester South, Wrexham Road, Chester, CH4 9DL between 9am at 12 noon. Wynne Construction is looking to engage with local subcontractors and social enterprise organisations from Chester, the North West and North Wales regions, who are interested in working with them.
Councillor Nathan Pardoe, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Regeneration and Digital Transformation said:
“This is a huge opportunity for local suppliers and traders to be involved with building the new Wrexham Road primary school. I hope as many as possible contact Wynne Construction and bring the benefits of this work to our local economy.”
Chris Wynne, managing director of Wynne Construction, said:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Cheshire West and Chester Council team to deliver this new school for the local community and families within the Kings Moat development.
"As with all our quality builds, social value is at the heart of our work; working with local contractors, creating new job opportunities and supporting community initiatives. We look forward to adding more local companies to our supply chain as a result of this Meet the Buyer event.”
